The last Xmas spent with my mum before she died in February 63
Little did they know how the music world would be transformed with the arrival of the Beatles in 1963.
I can just remember it, I was 4 at the time and there were several other things also making it memorable. We has just moved house, earlier in December and soon afterwards my mother announced she was having another baby [my brother, born August 1963].It was also an unusually cold winter.
I used to laugh when my parents called them “The Good Ole Days”. Being born in 1962, I can now actually agree. How I wish those days would return.
Back in the day when they used to mail Christmas cards! I always love getting Christmas cards. I miss those days.
No one knew what the weather had in store for us as soon as Boxing Day arrived!
It was my first Christmas I was 8 months old then
When the world wasn't multicultural
I was 9months old
I wasn't born yet . But I do remember all the Christmas cards my parents got when I did have Christmas. I miss those days.
Good days
💕
A great time ! Thanks for sharing… Jim and Barb
It’s almost scary to think back of how the world was back then versus today. Now I understand when my father said things were better when he was a kid back in the 40s. Here I am saying the same thing about the 60s and 70s. Smart phones destroyed American culture. 🤷♂️
I was 2 months old
I was 9 years old in 1960 . It was my last Christmas with the family all together . It is heart breaking just thinking about it . Wish I could go back in time to that Christmas Day just to be with my mother again
I graduated 1961. I miss all my family snd now my husband. I will be 80 this month.. Thank you for sharing those wonderful Christmass. Just my son is left to be with me for Christmas.
People seemed to enjoy spending time together and had such fun back then. WHAT H A PPENED TO US.?
Beautiful people
The 1960's were such a great time!
It started snowing on Christmas Eve in Accrington and Elvis was number one with return to sender Anthony
I was born on Christmas Eve 1962 so have no memory of this at all
Made my heart sink, to think about all those people we have in out living memory, who are not with us, to see them young and happy, gives me a strange sensation and i dont know how to deal with it with everything going on today
